Who we are, where we come from, and why our wolves are real — and still not wolves.
Lunar Lupus Filmwolves is the brand of Lunar Lupus e.U. for the work with film wolves. Our animals are Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs from our own FCI/ÖKV recognised kennel — vom alten Wolfsblut, internationally from wolfblood. They live with us, train with us, travel with us. A set is work for them, not an outing. That is why we never hand over handling, and why we say no when a scene overtaxes the pack. The company sits in Ligist, Styria, and works across Europe — 100 % electrically since 2022. The roof over breeding, sport, shows, film wolves and association work is lunarlupus.org.
Owner of the Pack
Daniel Angerer.
Owner and “Owner of the Pack” is Daniel Angerer: president of the Wolfhundeclub Österreich and breed representative for the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog in Austria. Dog sport in IBGH and IGP is part of everyday life, not of the brochure.
Self-taught. A maker. A finisher: whatever is started gets carried through. What were his father's licences became certificates in his hands.
Behind Lunar Lupus stands a family tradition with dogs — from search and rescue work and the safeguarding of large events to the Österreichring in 1984. The line is set out on Heritage. Coaching and stories: lunarlupus.dev.

Sustainability

We were among the first dog breeders and trainers to travel consistently on electricity alone — to the animals, to shows, to training and to the set. Trailer included.
Which is exactly why we are looking for a new, purely electric vehicle to succeed our Renault Megane E-Tech. The current contract runs until mid 2027.
Outlook
Training centre from 2027.
Between mid and late 2027 we are also building Lunar Lupus into a training centre: training that creates bond, calm and reliability — for our animals and for people who want to work seriously with this breed.
This is a horizon, not a bookable offer. Anyone planning a production, a shoot or an event today books the pack that already exists. The school follows once it is ready — not earlier.

Where do your animals come from?

Since when have you driven electrically?
Since 2022, consistently and including the trailer: to the animals, to shows, to training and to the set.
Can one train with you?
Not yet. Between mid and late 2027 we are also building Lunar Lupus into a training centre. That is a horizon, not a bookable offer.
